The Challenge

Photobox needed to enter the mobile-first market with an app that could compete with modern photo printing services. Their existing web platform was too complex for mobile users who wanted a quick, seamless way to print their favorite memories. The app needed to feel magical while handling the complexity of photo selection, sizing, and order fulfillment.

The Solution

An MVP from scratch over 3 months for iOS. The design featured playful animations, custom illustrations, and a cohesive brand identity centered around minty-green tones and friendly interactions. I worked directly with Photobox's development team to implement features including social media integration, rewards system, and smart photo organization. Every interaction was crafted to feel delightful - from the camera icon with a crown to the satisfying photo selection flow.

Photo printing is a craft, a physical transformation that captures moments and memories.

A playful yet simple identity was developed to keep the sentiment of creating something that feels personal, and where users can develop a connection with the app.

Throughout the app we used different artefacts as an identity language and an element for play.
